About Telden
An honest snapshot, not a brochure
Telden is the product safety workbench for EU sellers: webshops, marketplaces, and D2C brands placing physical products on the market. Product Service Desk is the product name; this page exists because any compliance buyer doing real diligence will want to know who is behind it before trusting us with product data and audit-relevant evidence. We would rather you find that out here than guess.
Where we are today
Telden is currently operated by Florian Gattung as a sole trader from Hofheim am Taunus near Frankfurt, Germany. There is no parent company, no holding structure, and (yet) no UG or GmbH wrapper; the legal operator on the Impressum is the natural person, and the address shown there is a private one. We are in early access: paying customers exist, the product runs in production on EU infrastructure, and the roadmap is driven by what real EU sellers actually need to ship a compliance dossier.
Why we have not incorporated yet
Incorporating a UG or GmbH adds real cost and overhead. We have chosen to delay that step until customer revenue justifies it, rather than fund it out of marketing budget to look bigger than we are. We expect to incorporate as the customer base grows; when that happens we will update the Impressum and this page on the same day. We are not hiding anything in the meantime; the operator, address, tax status, and contact details are all on the legal pages already.
Why a single-operator product can still be trusted with compliance work
Compliance tooling stands or falls on three things: where your data lives, whether you can reconstruct what happened, and whether the tool tells you the truth about its own limits. Telden is built to be defensible on all three:
- Data stays in the EU. Application servers, database, file storage, and analytics all run on our own EU infrastructure. We do not ship customer data to US-based managed Supabase or analytics SaaS.
- Every change is auditable. Field edits, AI proposals, document uploads, and approvals are recorded with who/when/why on the SKU revision trail.
- AI suggestions are always shown alongside the source evidence and are never silently applied; a human approves each one before it is committed.
- We do not give legal advice. Telden helps you assemble and prove compliance; it does not replace a lawyer or a notified body. That boundary is stated in the Terms and on the marketing pages, not buried.
- Backups, exports, and account deletion are first-class actions in the product, not a support ticket.
Support and response times
Support is handled directly by the sole trader operating Telden. Response times during European business hours are typically within one business day for paid customers, and best-effort during evenings, weekends, and holidays. If a flow is broken in production we treat it as a real incident and not as a backlog item; there is no support tier where that is true only for some customers.
Roadmap and what we will not promise
Our public roadmap focuses on the parts of EU product compliance that real customers ask for: GPSR dossiers, EU declarations of conformity, importer/responsible-economic-operator handling, supplier evidence, and audit-ready exports. We deliberately do not promise enterprise features (SSO/SCIM beyond what is documented, custom legal review, multi-region failover, 24/7 phone support) before we can deliver them with the same quality as the rest of the product. If something is on the website it is meant to work today; if it is not on the website yet, we are not pretending it is.
Data handling in one paragraph
Customer data and uploaded documents live on EU-hosted infrastructure under our own operational control. AI-assisted extraction sends document text to a third-party LLM provider (OpenRouter, Inc.) under a data-processing agreement; that pipeline is described in detail in the privacy policy, including retention windows and the legal basis. We do not sell data, and we do not use customer data to train models.
